A Football film that works
I first saw this as a kid and was captivated by it.
Despite the preposterous story, this film actually works.
Michael Caine captains a Football team made up of Allied Prisoners of War against a German team, intended as a Nazi publicity stunt.
The team consits of real life ex players such as Pele, Ossie Ardiles, Bobby Moore and John Wark with Syvester Stallone in goal.
They are supposed to use the match as cover to be able to escape at half time, but decide that they 'can still win this' and come out for the second half.
The game finished 4-4 and the crowd burst onto the pitch and enable the team to escape.
It is definitely a feel good film and the actual football scenes, choreographed by Pele look realistic.
This particular DVD is the re-released version for the World Cup in 2006.

Halo Reach
2 of 2 found this helpful I had other Halo games and wanted to see how this one had improved on the previous games.
