e.13 PF30 Bottom Bracket Adaptors and Bearings

so far, so good

I bought the bottom bracket to replace a threaded that I just put in my Specialized frame. No more problems with creaking and it feels very stiff with Shimano Saint crank arms, the quality is very high and the accessories included are more than enough to compensate for almost any frame. The only potential issue that I can imagine is the fact that PF30 bottom brackets rarely allow for replaceable bearings, the bottom bracket is a bit pricey and to cut down on costs and maintenance, ideally I would prefer only to replace the bearings rather than the entire bottom bracket. Other than that, almost 10 rides in I have had no issues.

lightweight, not so robust

I have two DT wheels sets and with the aluminum drums , unfortunately, I've had a lot of problems with my cassette chewing up the drum. Unfortunately the quality of aluminum is a bit too soft for cassettes, even cassettes with aluminum spiders like ultegra. Therefore I've tried alternating between 9 and 10 gear cassettes on a couple of different bikes to stretch out the wear. This drum I bought as replacement for one that was completely mutilated. Other than that it's not a bad drum and for my type of riding holds up usually for a couple of seasons before I need to replace it.
