Oldies encyclopedia after 1955.
Obviously, the information is only good up until 1996, but if you're like me, you don't need the most current issue because oldies are best! I would have liked a book like this featuring music from 1946-1966, but I don't know if there is one out there. The book captures rock 'n' roll when it was in full swing. The information is very useful in music reference.

A nice mix of machines that kept the world moving!
This book has an excellent mix of historical transportation and has lots of interesting facts.
