Thin material with size limit.
This item is fabricated with (.039"/1mm) thin metal which causes the frame to flex under the force pushing the potato through the blades. The slide (pusher) came out of the track on the third potato and jammed. I was able to correct this by disassembling the pusher rivets to remove the pusher, then bending the top and bottom portion on each of the pusher guides to allow them to seat deeper into the frame guide channels. I reassembled with #8 Stainless screws and lock nuts replacing the damaged rivets. It now works but, I have to be careful when applying pressure needed to push the potato. Also, this is a small device. You can only use potatoes the are about 4-inched long or less. You get what you pay for.
