AMT PETERBILT 352 PACEMAKER CABOVER
2 of 3 found this helpful Compared to the Old "vintage" Kit . This one does not hold a candle to it. These new kits are made in " China and the old 70"s kits were made right here in the good old USA , and there lies the problem.. These things made in China are very poor Quality in my opinion. Biggest gripe I have is the tires are too large to fit the rims in the kit. The metal axles don't fit far enough in the hubs either . Too much Flash on the parts also. Some of the Chrome parts are actually molded in one big mess on the parts sprues. ( windshield wipers, water pump, to name a few. I try to buy vintage American kits of this rig as much as I can. I have lots of old parts from the old kits to make one of these new kits look decent. Check it out for yourself with a old vintage kit compared to one of these new kits. Same goes with the KENWOTRH K-123 CABOVER by AMT same Exact issues as the PETERBILT CABOVER. The good news is the price is right on them...But you get exactly what you pay for and not a precision quality Kit like the vintage American kits of the 70"s it's a shame.
