- k***g (18)- Feedback left by buyer.Past yearVerified purchaseListed as used described as excellent condition but had a dust spec inside the front element as well as small dint on the side of the lens. Spec is visable when at high f-stops, dint does not effect performance. However it shipped quickly and packaging was good. Would have been fine with these issues as long as the seller correctly described the product that I was buying for 650$ Aud.

Great general purpose lens
Sharp even in the corners wide open at f4. Well built but too expensive.

A technological tour de force in your pocket
This is the kind of pocket camera that professionals would choose.
It has a stacked BSI(Back Side Illuminated) 1" type sensor which improves low light capabilities.
24-200mm Zeiss lens.
Can be used in full manual mode, just like the larger DSLR/Mirrorless cameras.
It has eye detection lock for both humans and some animals. and excellent tracking.
20 frames/sec for action photography.
4k video capture without binning.
Very fast focusing and an electronic viewfinder for more accurate framing in bright sunlight.
The complete list would fill several pages, so this is just some highlights and in spite of the huge amount of features and capabilities, it can fit in a jeans pocket.
A perfect travel camera, whereby its diminutive size does not compromise quality.
On the negative side, and because of its many features, the menu system can be daunting, if all these features are needed to be used. But until they are mastered or even needed, the camera can just be set up as a point and shoot, providing superior results compared to some of its peers.
The other big negative is price, but then again, all that technology doesn't come cheap.
I have owned the Mark III version for several years, with my only complaint being the limited 24-70mm zoom range. The Mk VII has taken care of that.
