Very raw grind metal album
This is a very raw grind metal album. It's not for all ears. But if you like fast riffing, rough sound, and brutality you'll love this album.
The songs are fast, short and very direct, in the classic grind style, very "old school".
In this 2006 edition you'll find 2CDs, the first, is the "Horrified" album itself, the second is a collection of rarities, b-sides, demos, etc.. The recording quality of these 2^CD songs is very coarse, in the "garage style", but it fits perfectly with the atmospheres of the songs and with the overall way of this record, taking into account also the period when this album came out.
What i like of this product:
Apart from the song itself (very compelling in my opinion) this 2006 version is very tidy: 2CDs, booklet with photos and lyrics, additional information. Cool edition!
What i dislike of this product:
Nothing particular, maybe the plastic slipcase is a little frail (because of the 2CDs), but is not a very serious problem.
Finally i recommend this album. Not to everyone, of course. For those not accustomed to certain sounds this album may seems boring after a while, considering that the songs are very similar to each other.
But for those who like the classic grind metal,like the first Napalm Death for example, it will seems a very great album. Just for extimators.
