Some likes and dislikes about the Canon 500D camera
I have stuck to Canon cameras and grown to rely on them and I've not been let down. I have a number of lenses and flashguns and such, so I am, I suppose, somewhat tied into the Canon thing. I had a 400D for a few years and used it everywhere I went. It wasn't good in low light so I bought a more powerful flashgun which did improve my control over the results. The 500D is an improvement with 50% better resolution, and it has an exposure in low light that automatically provides a higher ISO factor. I've had some surprisingly good results in challenging light conditions. What I wish it had though, is built-in memory capacity. The times I've taken it out and forgot I'd left the memory card attached to my computer. Frustrating.

Amazing
1 of 1 found this helpful It's amazing how round they are. And although it says Technics on the orange side, it seems to work just as well on my turntable and that isn't even a Technics turntable. Isn't that amazing? Another thing that is just amazing is that you can take it off and turn it over, and it's all white on the other side. A two sided mat, just brilliant. Clever huh? So you don't have to have Technics showing at all. And guess what, it even goes round at the same speed as my turntable platter. That it does that on both sides. Wow, it is so amazing. Only one thing though. The Technics side looks silly on a Linn Sondek. Still, you get two, so you can use one on your turntable and use the other one like a frizby. What a bargain. Amazing.
