Comfortable Walkman with Simple and Sturdy Controls
1 of 1 found this helpful So far, the sound quality has been pretty good, with some hiss at high volume with AVLS 'Off'.
Speaking of which AVLS appears to be much more complex than a simple volume limiter as I feel I'm more able to hear subtle sounds, which normally would be too quiet to hear on simple 'Low Volume'.
Among other settings, I listen while riding my bike, with the device mounted behind me.
The interface is straightforward and the buttons are soft, navigate well and click firmly into place (dissimilar from a FM-73 I have).
So far, it's been two weeks and I haven't had to change the battery. I haven't counted the number of tapes played in that time (perhaps only 12-15), but I'm pretty satisfied so far with it's longevity.

Almost Convincing SNES Controller Replacements
The texture of the plastics are somewhat different.
The concave buttons have sharper edges.
I'd imagine a new Nintendo SNES controller would have stiffer buttons too, but the tactile feel is different with these.
Most games, you'll not even notice a difference between this and an official Nintendo product.
While 'Streets of Fury' style games should be fine (as TMNT IV was quite playable), fighting games like 'Street Fighter' might create too much friction on your finger tips doing combos.
Keep this in mind, if you play casually, this is perfect, if you play Contra/Street Fighter, get a Nintendo.
