training collar
2 of 2 found this helpful I have a two year old Rat Terrier that does everything I ask her to do except stop barking. She barks at everything even if the wind changes she barks. I put the collar on and used the vibration option and she could care less. I then used the electric shock option on setting of 50 to start. She screamed but stopped barking. The setting of 50 is way way way to much energy. I lowered the setting to 25 and that was way to much of a 20 pound dog. I used 12 the next time and she stopped barking. I stopped using it but left the collar on. While she wore the collar she wouldn't bark. Took the collar off and she started barking again. I took off the shock unit on the collar and let her wear the collar and she stopped barking. After a couple of days with the collar on, I took it off and had success. She has stopped barking. I allowed her to growl when she wanted to and now she growl's quite loudly but that is ok by me. Since I live on my sailboat and travel just about every where, I needed her to be protective of the boat and that is what I got. She walks around the boat like a prison guard daring anyone to approach. Did mention I also have a miniature five pound Chihuahua? Between the two, I know if someone comes around the boat at anchor or at the docks. This is a good product but constraint needs to be adhered to because this collar can really hurt a small dog. Now for a large attack dog maybe not.
