A Game That Defined a Genre
1 of 1 found this helpful I originally had this game back in 1997 when it first came out. It may say "only" 60 hours of gameplay, but I put at least 125 into it. It never gets old, and the story line is incredible. This is arguably the RPG that took RPG's into the mainstream game play. Even by today's standards it holds its own. I imagine a rerelease with modern graphics and an expanded storyline would sell as well today as the original did 10 years ago.
Without FF VII, the world of gaming would look much much different than it does today. Honestly, how many games have a 10 year life span?
I cannot wait to get my hands on the game that helped to drop my college GPA a full tenth of a point.
