Nikkor 28-80mm f3.-5.6G AF
Lighweight, fast focussing successor of the D version lens. No aperture scale as aperture was displayed on the LCD panel of cameras it was designed - this makes it less convenient to use on earlier cameras. Manual focussing ring is very narrow and almost unuseable in manual focus mode. Despite its mechanical limitations this lens can be used with both film and digital cameras and produces extremely sharp images. A real bargain seconhand if it is clean condition and plastic mount is undamaged.

nikon 28-80mm f3.5-5.6D lens

Excellent sharpness when stopped down a couple of stops but often the subject of unfair criticism by comparison with much higher priced lenses. Lightweight and focuses quickly - a bargain buy.
