Engrossing page turner. Keeps you guessing. Visual.
Stephen King frustrates me endlessly, because no matter how angry or disgusted I get when he let's me down at the conclusion of one of his page turners; I always go back for more. I am 500 pages into Lisey's Story and very pleased so far. It's futuristic and ambitious writing. Not in a Star Wars way, in the way we would imagine possible, yet impossible. I wish I could know the love that King describes so beautifully in this novel. But he also pairs the love with the pain that inevitable comes with love so deep. I like what he has created so far...always his faithful reader.

Descriptive, without revealing plot.
The characters are so richly developed in this novel it is impossible not to fall in love with them, or loathe them. Koontz creates a page turner from the very beginning. He makes the fantastical believable. I loved the entire premise of the book. And he doesn't dissapoint the reader with a weak ending. I stopped reading him a few years back. Something he wrote angered me. I can't even remember what it was that turned me off. But I'll be reading more of his books from this point forward. Great story, great reading, great escape!!!!
