Cherokee Women by Theda Perdue
1 of 1 found this helpful As a prolific reader of anything relating to the history of the Cherokee People, I thouroughly enjoyed this read----Couldn't stop till I was finished! The title is sound as it tells the Cherokee story from the Woman's role in the history, however it is well researched, full of genealogical information, and tells the story from both sides--Man AND Woman---but with the major emphasis on the Woman's role----All in all--A Super Book at a resonable cost.

Growing Up Native American
WOW !, This wonderful book could fit into many categories! Libraries should have one in History, sociology, ethnology, biography, political science, plus others----What I'm getting at I suppose is that this book, if it were a CD--would be a GREATEST HITS of Native American Life---It is very Spiritual, with many important messages. Loved N. Scott Momaday's style of writing. The placement in the book after reading about the tragedy of the "Indian School Era" was brilliant---Hope this makes all Nations strive towards Immersion, teaching the children, our future, their Native Languages. WAITING FOR PART 2!!------especially with Native American you tube, and the internet make the future so VERY IMPORTANT ! LOVED IT ! Want more---Whats happened since 1993?
