Very poorly laid out collection of inaccurate patterns.
I am a tailor for a major theater company. I bought this book, hoping to increase my collection of period patterns, but have found many problems. Often, the pattern does not match the illustration. Even more annoying, the book's layout does not allow you to view the pattern diagram and the drafting instructions at the same time. Most drafting books put the instructions on one page and the diagram on the facing page, but this book makes you keep flipping back and forth. Or else you have to Xerox the diagrams. I found the few patterns I worked up not to fit very well, either. I had to make a lot of corrections before cutting into the real fabric.
