CD unit
Fairly good instructions and good manufacture...easy to put together and solid when built
it is heavy though.....
main trouble is that I seem to have more CDs than I thought.......its already full 8(
would certainly buy another if I had the room for one

Awful Nikon lens
what I really didn't like was a stop button on the side..press the button and the lens extends...within 2 weeks this had broken - probably through my heavy handedness - although so saying I have never had a lens fail in the past
the lens is uncomfortably small in the hand and I found it impossible to manual focus...it feels cheap and nasty compared to the earleir AF-S DX VR which came with my old D3000
After 3 weeks the lens no longer functioned with the camera - and because I assumed that I had been overly heavy handed I simply binned it instead of trying to claim it was a problem with the lens
all in all I found this lens a total waste of money, poor quality and almost no durability

Indispensible
I had a Nikon D3000 and had reached the maximum of its capacities .so taking a leap I bought a D7100 thinking ..well how different could they be
steep learning curve or what...without this book I would still be fumbling around trying to work out what the buttons do...I would never have found out how versatile the 7100 is without this book
The Dummies guide is clearly written in well grouped chapters -, and well illustrated even if you think you know ehat the D7100 is capable of you will learn something from this I am sure
it has become my constant dip in knowledge base for using the camera...and I am still learning
