Kept my hubbys heart pumping from the first gun shot!
It's a mystery from the beginning. Keeps ones interest. Be warned there are gory dead bodies and a rape scene. Not recommended for kids or even sensitive people, like me! Enjoyed it but seeing once is enough.

Unexpected Ending
Many movies are predicable, but this one has an unexpected ending. We know there are many southerners who were against slavery but few northerners who wanted to leave the south be. It showed the side of war that isn't talked about much. It stimulated thoughts and curiosity. Heart warming with a very satisfying ending. Two thumbs up! I would have rated it PG instead of PG-13. Recommended for history buffs!
