Easy to set up and rock solid
Not terribly nice to look at, but does it's job and does it well. This replaced an old Netgear N600 router that I had. I only had minimal exposure to TP-Link products through some wireless antennas that were bought through my work. They worked well, so I decided to give them a shot. I have Spectrum as my internet provider and, according to my speedtest app on my phone, I am now getting 120-130 mbps down and 6-7 up, which was way better than anything my old router was getting (30-40 down and 3-4 up on a good day). My smart thermostat has also stopped having issues since the switch. It's probably a bit big for my current needs, but I feel I'm future-proofed and on the right edge with the MU-MIMO technology so I shouldn't have to replace this for a long time coming.
