A lovely sequel to an old favorite.
Book was new, in excellent condition. A story I missed reading when I was growing up, but which my granddaughter will enjoy after she reads Heidi.

A good starter cookbook for young people.
This cookbook is nicely organized for teens who are left to their own devices at mealtimes several times a week. My granddaughter is 12 and not yet a teen, but I know that her parents' work schedules may often give her the opportunity to cook a little something for herself and her brother. The recipes are for simple foods simply prepared, foods that are familiar and inviting. The cooking procedures are not long or complicated---very important if you want to encourage further culinary experience.

Just my opinion
I decided to buy this book to expand my 6 year old grandson's horizons. I misjudged the content, as it is better suited for an older child. I thought the book would describe other cultures; instead it presented concepts such as the world-wide availability of food as opposed to its accessibility. It is a thought-provoking workbook for slightly older kids, with study ideas listed at the back. I will save this book for future use. The book was delivered promptly and was brand new as advertised.
