Full range of emotions!
1 of 1 found this helpful This film is based on the true stories of a group of women who are held as Japanese POW’s during WW2. Although touching, it was difficult to watch as the brutality of the soldiers is always looming over the women, even when moments of “happiness” exist. I was, however, greatly inspired by their strength-especially because it really happened. I cried and laughed and am still amazed by this story.
I would definitely recommend this dvd to anyone who has an interest in WW2 history.

The Forgotten
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought this movie because I like both Julianne Moore and Gary Sinise. Julianne Moore plays a mother that looses her 8 yr old son in a plan crash. Everyone tries to convince her that she never had a son. She knows deep down that she did have a son. Just goes to show that there is a special bond between a mother and child. I wasn't disappointed. I would call this a paranoid thriller and it works. I would recommend it to others, and have.

Worth seeing!
This was a good story with excellent music. All four of the actresses (Shirley McClain as Margret Mary, Liza Minnelli as Cara, Jennifer Gray as Robin, and Kathy Bates as Mr. Goo) help you believe this inspiring movie about four unrelated characters that are drawn together and become as family.
