A less annoying Sewer Shark
0 of 1 found this helpful Burning Soldier was released for the 3DO in 1994 and was a pack in game for some 3DO consoles at the time. This game is a typical on-rails shooter, meaning you have no control of any movements. Just a boring interactive movie/tech demo of pressing buttons rapidly to shoot targets with a cursor.
It gets 1 1/2 stars because it's better than other 3DO on-rails shooters Star Blade and much better than Sewer Shark!

Different from the original classic
From the first glance of the overly cheesy cover art I knew this game would not compare to the original. I am a huge fan of Legendary Axe which was exclusively released in 1989 on TurboGrafx-16. Legendary Axe II released in 1990 is unusual because it shares the same title name but is not linked to the first game thematically or stylistically.
Overall the game is still fairly enjoyable with several different weapons to use and some decent music (stage 2 theme WOW!)
I would recommend this game to TurboGrafx-16 owners, just do not expect a direct sequel or it to surpass the original!

Out of 30 consoles I own this is by far the WORST!!!
5 of 33 found this helpful The question is hard to resolve, largely because the definition of what constitutes an "N-bit" system has not been set. Of the five processors in the Jaguar, only the object processor and the blitter are "true" 64-bit components. Because the blitter and the object processor are in the Tom chip, by extension Tom is a 64-bit chip. Furthermore, the Jaguar also used a 64-bit memory architecture
Most say the Jaguar should be considered a 32-bit system, as that is the maximum register size in the programmable processors (the 68000, the graphics processor, and the DMA sound processor). The Jaguar visually appears between 16/32 bit in graphic capabilities when analyzing the consoles entire library of around only 57 games. Atari Jaguar titles such as the arcade style fighter "Ultra Vortek" and exorbitant space exploration game "Battlesphere Gold" show the console had potential when handled correctly by dedicated programmers.
