Great Addition to my collection
I saw this book on the side table in the sitting room of a bed and breakfast in Beaufort SC. The historic house was there during the March to the Sea. General Sherman was friends with many southerns since the time of his early days in the U.S. Military after graduation from West Point. The book complimented a large portrait of General William Tecumseh Sherman hanging in the foyer. Since the 1850s, our family has lived in Lancaster OH where Gen Sherman was born and raised. We take a lot of pride in this amazing military leader. He and Gen U S Grant were devoted to the Union and principle leaders in preserving it.
