Water is clean and have great taste
1 of 1 found this helpful I purchased this reverse osmosis water filter to replace an under sink system I had for a few years. Although the other system worked well for many years, neither my wife nor I like the way the water tasted...it was clean but it tasted like distilled water.
I did some research and found out that although a reverse osmosis system purifies the water, it also strips the water of its natural minerals found in stream water, like calcium, magnesium, potassium, etc. I came across this filter that has an alkaline filter designed to replace these minerals after the water has run through the membrane.
I had doubts about its effectiveness but decided to give it a try, and I'm glad I did. Water taste just so much better, whether it's just a cold glass of water or hot coffee/tea, there's a huge difference.
Having said that, if you already have a reverse system installed, you can add and inline alkaline filter as an addition to your filter, which can save you lots of money as opposed to purchasing a complete system. However, if you prefer to replace your system there are a few things you should know.
The installation of this system requires someone with some knowledge about plumbing and tools in general. In addition, an under the sink installation requires other components not available with the system, i.e. water holding tank, faucet, etc.. Furthermore, depending on your main water pressure, the system may require a booster pump to increase water pressure going through the system, as the membrane requires decent water pressure for optimal performance.
Finally, after the system have been installed and at least for the first two or three days, check for water leaks. That's especially true if the system is installed in a hidden place under the sink...a small water leak can turn into a disaster if not detected and corrected early.
This system works and I recommended, but as with any other product, do your research, get informed and make sure you make the right choice. Your body needs clean water for its health and performance. There are many filtration systems out there as effective as this system, so do your homework before investing in a water filtration system.

Lowest Price
It fit well on my 2006 Hyundai Elantra and the price was the lowest anywhere. My Elantra has over 140,000 miles, and unknown to me, the condenser fan wasn't working. With this heat trend and the lack of engine cooling, it led to radiator failure. It began leaking at the upper tank and wouldn't hold any water. I ordered this new radiator here at eBay for $50.00. While the lowest price for a new radiator at the local car part store was $178 and up to $259.
Anyway, I got this radiator installed, plus a new condenser cooling fan, and also replaced both the upper/lower hoses and the thermostat. Added water to check for any leaks and drove it for a few miles. There was no leaks and my Elantra ran as cool as ever. I drained the water from the radiator after the car had a few hours to cool off and replaced it with a 50/50 mixture of antifreeze/coolant . All is well and for much less than if I had gone to one of my favor auto parts store.

It works
This heater works fine to heat water for coffee, tea or instant soup. I connected it directly to the battery of my Jeep Cherokee and it work, but the wire I was using (16 gauge) got really hot, so I recommend using a 14 or 12 gauge wire. I don't recommend connecting to the car's lighter socket...the heater draws lots of current and may damage some wiring or component.
