Up (DVD, 2009)
I love family friendly movies with good stories and good music. This one fills the bill. Really nice and colorful animation. Fun for kids and adults alike. A heartwarming tale that leaves you with a smile. I recommend it highly.

Julie & Julia (2009, DVD)
Another wonderful movie by Nora Ephron. She has done some of my favorite movies, You've Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle, etc. She has a gentle way of building interesting characters amidst good stories. She always adds a great selection of music as well. If someone takes the time to include good music, I take that as a sign that the details have been carefully tended to.
Julie and Julia is a sweet story of respectful and happy relationships between married couples. The story of Julia Child, and her rise into the public eye. Good food, good friends, good music, without violence, with very little profanity. A story that leaves you with a smile. I highly recommend this movie.

A lovely book, but I wish it had more color photos.
This is a large book, full of information, but to me the works of Faberge are best enjoyed in color photos...eye candy. Unfortunately, most of the photos are in black and white.
