Rick Steves is fantastic
I just went to Eastern Europe not so long ago on a tour. Looking back at the places I went and learning their history is very interesting. Rick Steves' introduction of every country and every visiting point are very detailed. If you plan to go to Eastern Europe, this is a must read.

It's a nice book except the title
The characters in the book are too small. Takes you a lot of time to read throug the whole thing. I think the title should be "1000 places to go in your lifetime."

Broken down after 1 week's usage
I liked it in the first place because it has a 18-55mm lens come with it, and I don't need a really sophisicated DSLR Camera since I am only a beginner. I took this camera to my trip, and the duration of my trip was 8 days. It was broken down at the last day of my trip. The "CF Error" message came up when I turned it on. I took it to the Canon factory, and they told me that one of the memory slots is crooked which means the camera cannot read the memory at all. I am very disappointed that it was broken down after a week's usage.
