Great compact travel size camera.
The camera is small and light enough for traveling, and image quality is way better than a point and shoot.
Video quality is great for its size, and a 32gb card can fill over 4K pictures.
I have the 10-30mm lens, low light shooting without flash is quite awesome.
The only cons is, have to remove the grip for taking out the sd card and the battery.

Great built with lots of fun!
2 of 2 found this helpful Its lighter than my other D3, and I love the auto ISO feature. Also the video mode is so fun to play with. Addition bonus is the camera still using CF cards, so I don't have to invest on another bunch of SDs like what the D800 series are taking.
Price is still a little high for a 2012 camera, but the fun of it won't turn you down!

Will never go back to DX.
Good and small camera but quite heavy of its size. Picture quality is awesome; but of course it depends what lens what using. I use a sigma 28-70/2.8 with it, sharpness is great all around & color is very accurate with very less adjustment on PS & LR.
The internal of this camera is a D3, with the MB-D10 attached, you pretty much have a D3 in hands with the vertical shutter release.
