Country music lovers dream
1 of 1 found this helpful This DVD holds two country music legends performing their songs in the context of stories about love and loss, failure and success. I saw Honeysuckle Rose when it was released in theaters in 1980 and loved it. I bought this DVD for Willie Nelson's music and found George Strait's movie to be equally entertaining. I like the fact that I got two movies for the price of one. There are minimal liner notes, so got online and printed some from IMDB. Otherwise it is a great disc.

My Own Private Idaho
1 of 1 found this helpful This movie brings attention to the discarded children living in cities all over our country. River Phoenix gave a brilliant performance as a street boy with narcolepsy who wants to find his mother. During his narcoleptic seizures, he dreams of his own private Idaho. Keanu Reeves performance is equally powerful as a child of wealth and privilege who has chosen to live on the streets. I loved the thought provoking ways in which the subject is presented. I decided to buy it because I'm a big Keanu Reeves fan. I was amazed by River Phoenix's ability to portray his character with such depth and conviction. With his early death our world lost a great talent.
