Don't leave home without it
I upgraded from the ipad2. In fact I use both of them. The ipad4 has better picture and skype and is probably faster, but either one is fast enough.
Unlimited possibilities, really. You find new stuff all the time.

Super sound quality! Weak design.
Excellent sound quality. The second one I bought. However, both set broke at exactly the same place, which made the item un-usable. (One arrived like that.). I call it a bad design.

OK, if you do your homework.
7 of 7 found this helpful Great gadget, especially for a traveler. But .... ONLY if you get hold of a grandfathered account, where you get UNLIMITED data for a fixed price. Anything less than unlimited data for more than one user, which is what the Nighthawk is meant for, is useless since the GBs get eaten up like candy. And THAT would be very expensive.
The unit is small and easy to take with you on the road; it fits in a shirt or jacket pocket.
