3 of 3 found this helpful The Husky 350 is a professional quality chainsaw for the discriminating homeowner. Husqvarna ended production of the 350 in 2008, but is still available on Ebay and through dealers who still have inventory. Don't worry, you still get the 2 year company warranty. Just make sure you get a receipt with the serial number on it and then register on their website. The company ended production due to new global emission standards. The new x-torq models use less fuel, but have a much less power to weight ratio.
The saw is relatively light at 10 lbs. dry and it's easy to start if you follow the directions and maintain it properly. For easier starting, it has a fuel primer bulb and decompression valve. It is well balanced and operates smoothly do to an air injected engine. The 350 is powerful and loud, so wear leather gloves, heavy duty pants, steel toed boots, and eye/ear protection.
Simply, the 350 is best in class and you should buy one before they're all gone. Always follow all safety and maintenance issues in the manual. You should only use 93 octane gasoline because it has a high compression engine. Also use Husqvarna's 50:1 Pro oil mix, drain all fluids before you store the saw, and clean it thoroughly. This will assure the next time you use it, the saw will be just like new. If you feel uncomfortable, call an arborist.
