Common, yet directly descriptive
It is very well written. I was partial to the trucks from Colchester, Salem, And Hayward, Connecticut. My uncle was the Cheif of the Lake Hayward Volunteer Fire Department for many years. That old Federal pumper I remember well in it's tiny backyard garage sized quarters by the northern end of Lake Hayward. Most Fire Engine books are similar in scope and Fire Engines by Rob Wagner is no different. But I enjoy these books because of their pictures and informitive texts. After all, it is a topic that I enjoy.
