Xiaomi Dash Camera
Feels of high quality especially for the price and features included in comparison to the junk you can buy from JB HiFi. Packaging has an almost Apple like feel and appearance.
Works great when sitting in direct sunlight and does not shut off like cheaper camera's.
The menu is surprisingly easy to navigate and the smartphone app works really well, seamless and fairly responsive. Firmware updates are handled through the phone app.
Included 3M mount is a much nicer solution than the typical suction cup mount that falls off once the car gets too hot. Just make sure you position it correctly the first time.
Included USB cable is of a great length so it's easy enough to mount under the headliner and under the pillar.
The ADAS system is OK but does not work well at night and you will find yourself turning it off in no time. A little bit gimmicky but fun to mess with at first.
Footage is very clear and appears to have a much wider angle compared to my old Navman dash cam. Ability to choose a slightly lower resolution with a higher frame rate is also nice. Audio can be easily turned off in the menu too.
Would highly recommend this over the generic stuff found in retail stores. Can't be beaten in price or reliability.
