back to basics cd
0 of 1 found this helpful It's ok.
Fame seems to have gone to Christina's head a lot! - its a bit of an ego trip - "The one and only - there never will be another...Christina"...bla bla bla...
and the song dedicated to the fans is all a bit lame really.
There are a few good ones on there such as "aint no other man" & "hurt" but she's just a bit tarty and egotistical.
She has real talent and whilst it is expresses to a degree in this album she could do better if she just stopped showing off.
Worth listening to ,though.

If you want to see Jane Austen adaption at its very best then watch this film!
The characters are spot on and endearing, the actors are the cream of the crop for this kind of role. Watch out for Hugh Laurie! He's VERY funny in it even though he only plays a relatively small part.
It moves at just the right pace - not too fast and not too slow.
It has drama, humour, romance, tragedy - everything you could possibly want in this kind of drama adaption. The story pulls you right in.
I have seen this film so many times now and I just never tire of it.
Take my advice - watch this film. You will love it....if you dont there's something wrong with you! lol

I thought that more could have been done with this film. Rene just was'nt right for the part and her accent was dreadful - they made a well brought up lady appear rather wierd with a half plum in the mouth half farmery accent with the way she raored some of her words out.
They had her talking to pictures and drawings which was a little out there for my liking.
I do like period dramas immensely but this wasnt up to scratch at all.
It did have its sad moments like when her fiance died but other than that it wasnt gripping at all.
Its a film you watch once and then stick in the cupboard and forget about.
