Ginger Pye by Eleanor Estes is a great read from days gone by. Love it!
Jerry and Rachel are brother and sister and they want to get a dog that is for sale for one dollar but their mother, Mrs. Pye tells them they can have it only if they earn the money to buy it. Once they get the puppy, they name it Ginger and thus begins the upbeat tale of Ginger Pye. When I was a child my mom would read this book to us and when I was old enough I read it to her. It is a heartwarming story originally written in 1906, the year my mom was born so I think perhaps her mom read it to her too. Now, I was thrilled to come across this book and and I have gifted it to my seven year old granddaughter who is enjoying it thourghly and who loves it as much as I did! A great read for a child and a great keepsake to pass down from one generation to another.

Just After Sunset by Stephen King 2008, Unabridged, CD
I often travel through mountain areas where radio reception is not good so, a few months back I bought my first audio book and I was hooked! It is great being able to have a good book read to you while you travel. I recently purchased this one and it is great! I am finding audio books are a lot of fun, just like when I was a kid and we listend to stories on the radio! I would highly recommend this collection, if you like Stephen King, you will enjoy this one very much!
