The strings are good quality but they are a bit heavy. I had to use Martin light gauge in the end.

Little puppy with a bite
3 of 3 found this helpful When I first received the package; I was shocked at how small it was. The advertised photo makes it look larger then it is. So, I opened the packaging, took the plastic off of the battery, set the battery in place, plugged the guitar cable into the input and Shazamm, instant rock and roll. For what it is; it is. My girlfriend recorded me off of her I pad and there I was rockin like a big dog. It was so funny watching myself jamming and adjusting this little pint sized, battery operated amp. The distortion is killer. There are better more expensive battery amps out there but they cost to much, use more batteries, and they don't play as long on the life of the batteries. Really! You could go to the 99 cent store and buy 5 nine volt batteries and probably play the streets for a month. Who wants the cost of batteries cutting into their cash? Way to go Fender. Really cool.

Disapointed
When I first received the guitar it seemed to play well. There was a slight buzz on the fourth and Fifth fret but it was manageable. I adjusted the truss rod correctly and the buzz worsened. I put shims under the saddle; it still continued to buzz. So...... Now it sits alone on the guitar rack waiting for its turn at the repair shop, which, will no dought, cost me more money. Also, the guitar that I received was not as the one pictured. I even called musicians friend and tried to verify if I were to receive the same style guitar as in the photograph. I wanted the guitar with out the pick guard as the one advertised. No luck, I received a different guitar. It seemed to have been set up " just enough" to make it play correct and functional. The guitar is no dought a factory 2nd. I should have sent it back but if it can be fixed it will be a great playing and sounding guitar--- if not, then I'm screwed.
