Basic Instinct ll dvd
Decided to buy it because I only saw the original "Basic Instinct" all the way through, on television the week before. I thought "Basic Instinct" was excellent, so full of suspense. Sharon Stone played her part wonderfully as did Michael Douglas.
"Basic Instinct ll" wasn't bad but reminded me of those second feature films that you used to get at the cinema years ago. Some were quite good, some were excellent and others were average or below, just like any other film. I was a bit disappointed. I couldn't help wondering if setting the film in London as opposed to the USA made a difference, fast moving, fast talking and driving are generally done better by the Americans. Of course in this film the Sharon Stone character was after a psychologist, not a cop, but still cops were involved and none of it was made very interesting.
Sharon Stone did a good job with what she was given, she was still believable as the same character but her surroundings and the way the story moved were not up to the first film. I actually got a bit bored with it as it went on.
