The Amazing and the Ugly About Split-Second "Thinking"
A very interesting book and a very easy read. A collage of seemingly unrelated little stories or anecdotes illustrating the innate ability of humans to make split-secod decisions, formulate opinions based on little or no data, or even read people's minds based on the most subtle facial expresions or the twinkle of the eyes.
This book was brought to my attention by my son after he had read only a few pages of it ... I burrowed it for a "few minutes for have a look at it" but I ended up reading the whole book before I gave it back to him. It is a must read for all but particularly for new medical graduates and police rookies.
