The Epson R340 is King of the Inkjet!
4 of 4 found this helpful Being a life-long Epson printer lover, I recently upgraded from the R220 to the R340 and I'm very glad that I did. The R340 is loaded with features that you would have to pay hundred more with other manufacturers. While they're too many to mention in this review, I especially like being able to connect my camera directly to the printer, crop, push print and voila! 4x6 borderless Lab quality prints in less than 15 seconds WITHOUT using my PC. You can also make prints from all Memory Card formats without using your PC which is also another cool feature among many. Since I make a lot of them, I also enjoy the ability to print directly onto CDs & DVDs. This saves me a lot of money by not having to buy CD/DVD labels and any/all problems associated with them that I've had in the past, i.e., bubbles, off-center problems, peeling, etc.; By printing directly on them, I get a much more professional look to them which I really like. As for ink, the 6 color way is the ONLY way to go. In the long run you do save money whether you use Epson OEM inks or other brands. I have found a company that manufactures an ISO 9001 generic that meets or exceeds Epson's quality and I save between 85%-90%! If you'd like their link, send me a note and I'll be more than happy to send it to you. Lastly, if you're looking for a high quality, versitile printer that's loaded with features for a more than fair price gives this one a try. I think you'll be more than happy.
