Cheapest way to record video without any compression and loss of quality
I said I couldn't set the date & time, but I found out how to do that, it has to be done from the Camera setting, not from the VCR setting. These old camcorders are the most economical way to record full-resolution videos, all of the digital recorders these days use compression that looses sensitivity and recording quality.

A necessary part
Needed to connect a small quadcopter video camera to a telescope; it works fine for that purpose.
