A couple suggestions
2 of 2 found this helpful This unit worked with no hesitation but time for charging. It does a good job of scanning with the dock or freehand.
I have found a couple things that help me.
1. The film protecting the screen of a monitor I had purchased helps when scanning scrapbooks or albums if placed over the pages that have possible impediments that might allow the scanner to catch.
2. A 3x5 card works as a carrier to run small items through the docked scanner.
The largest drawback I have seen to date is that the scanner and computer software connection must be closed to scan.
