Incredibly fun, unique pedal for the adventurous guitarist
1 of 1 found this helpful First of all, the Digitech Dirty Robot is built to last. All metal casing and controls with a rubber underside to prevent slipping and sliding. But the most important thing is how amazingly fun this pedal is to tweak and play with. It's an incredible bargain for what you get, which is essentially a widely variable, multi-purpose guitar synth with a vocal formant feature that is out of this world. What immediately impressed me is how versatile this pedal is. with one sweep of a control knob you can go from heavy 80's style synth leads to cleaner envelope filter style auto-wah tone. I'm still finding out new capabilities of this pedal, as I've only had it a day, but I can tell it's going to be a primary part of my guitar set up for years to come.
I already have a very versatile multi-effects unit, so I was looking for a pedal that could do things that that pedal can't, and this absolutely fits the bill. It's completely one of a kind, and being true-bypass just makes it all the more useful. One of my favorite aspects of the Dirty Robot is the tremolo/vibrato you get from holding down the footswitch. It brings a whole new level of funky style and momentary expression to an already jam-packed pedal. I highly recommend this pedal for anyone who's looking to get a unique sound out of the guitar or bass. As far as synth pedals or even vocal formant pedals go, I don't think you'll be able to find a pedal that gives you more for the money. Absolutely incredible.

Great strap, better value
Now, I usually play sitting down anyways because I have a hollow body electric, and in moving around several times in the last few years I managed to lose my straps. Since it wasn't essential for my playing at the time, I just wanted to get a cheap one that would do the job so I could have a little more mobility playing. I found this strap and the price was good and I liked the look so I went ahead with it. I was thoroughly surprised when I unpackaged it. The strap is really excellent quality, especially where it attaches to the guitar which is where it really matters. The leather ends fix on tightly to the guitar and I haven't had any issue with one coming undone. Very pleased with the strap, especially for the cheap price.
