Trane's Swan Song
There is a lot of Trane I prefer, but this is where it ended up, and is therefore essential. At this point, I don't believe Trane had the instruments which were capable oof giving full expression to what he was hearing.

The reclusive Fred Neil is one of the lesser known, though oft heard and covered, giants of folk. To correct the above review, "Bleeker and MacDougal" is not a compilation, but was his first "hit" lp with Elektra - that's how good he was. However, this one is the most complete compilation, with the best of his 3 great recording sessions with the above named company. As they say, essential, and, as you see still commanding a high price.
