High quality. A better buy than a new entry level SLR.
Although this is now an obsolete model, it is in some ways better than the 60D replacement. It has a metal body rather than plastic, so is tougher and has a more pro feel. On the second hand market they tend to be a true bargain. Image quality when used with the best quality lenses is really excellent. For some people they are a bit bulky as a travel camera but there is no doubting their quality. Speed of response is great for grab shots, which are invariably missed with the sub-compact toys most people use for travel. In spite of that I do tend to use my S95 for travel unless it is a "Photographic Trip".

Excellent purse size compact
This camera is now obsolete but is still worth looking out for second hand. Very good image quality for its size, but focus and shutter lag makes candid shots difficult.
