Stay Young With Squishy!
To keep flexibility in your hands, it is helpful to use them vigorously whenever possible. While reading, watching TV, riding in a Lyft or Uber, etc., Squishy enables you to stay active.

Trauma and Recovery - an important book for our time
2 of 2 found this helpful As a professional mediator, I sometimes encounter elements of abuse in divorce cases and family conflicts. An exellent book to introduce victims of emotional abuse (and their friends and family) to the nature of the abusive mind is Patricia Evans' "The Verbally Abusive Relationship". After you've gained insight into that dynamic, Judith Herman's book provides the quintessential insight to the consequences to the victims.
People often judge victims of abuse, "Why doesn't she just leave?" "What's the big deal, it happens all the time." "Trauma and Recovery" will help you understand the psychological mechanisms that reduce options for people who have been trapped in abusive environments, either as children or as adults.
I often purchase both Evans' books and Herman's books on eBay; I then give them away to people who need to read them. Often I've been told that therapists don't get it; they tell their clients to "get over it" without really understanding the depth and nature of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorger). Before you're tempted to say something similar to a survivor of abuse, read "Trauma and Recovery". You will understand the damage done and why victims require a slow, patient road to recovery.
