The Velveteen Rabbit
2 of 2 found this helpful Wonderful story about a child's love for a favorite toy; a worn torn stuffed rabbit that could never be replaced by a brand new toy. The story explains to children how someone, or something, doesn't have to be pretty or perfect in order to be loved. A friend had given a copy of this book to my son, when he was born; he is now 26 years old. The story was one of his favorites and we still have the book on our bookshelf. I purchased another one now, so I can give it to my 2 year old grand-daughter. It will be a tradition for our family. Each new grandchild will receive a copy of this classic story. I will need 2 more copies soon, as my daughter is expecting twins at the end of this year.
