If you are a repairman, get one! Great project.
I'm a professional luthier. I bought this DOT and repaired the head. It came together very clean and after a little touch up, barely looks like a scratch. I did a fret level, crown,polish, bone nut and set-up.
I was quite surprised!
Given you can buy them, not broken, for around $400.00. I think for the $200.00/free shipping! I did pretty good.
It doesn't sound exactly like a 335 but it feels like a really solid guitar and it sounds really good to boot!

The chrome center caps are not smooth and shiny.
The numbers are close
For a couple bucks they are fine.
