Fundamentals of Engineering Design by Barry Hyman (2002
This book was a well written book. It was easy to read and understand. Required for senior level College engineering course. It should be required for freshman level engineering college course.

Heat Transfer by J. P. Holman (2001)
1 of 1 found this helpful This book was adequately written and easy enough to read. The concepts of this material are advanced so it could be better written to expain things on an easier level. They should not assume that the reader remembers everything from prerequisite courses. The example problems were adequate in number but the chapter end problems were a little too advanced. No solutions to problems leaves the reader not confident whether they solved the problem correctly. Should have numerical answers to odd numbered problems in appendix.

bought it for college course
bought it because I had to for class. Book is not descriptive enough in the examples and assumes values for examples. Too descriptive about how to calculate a simple electric bill or unit conversions.
