Definately a "Fun", "Entertaining style", "Business simulation" game. 4/5*
Very cool game! Graphics are very jumpy and leave trailers though on my system. Not sure if that is due to my graphics card or not, I'm running it on a powerful newer Alien-ware system. It gets addicting, although it does get a little repetitive. Still very fun, and challenging. Haven't had it too long (about 3 weeks), but it seems like a fairly easy game to learn - but not so to master. IE; just go out and dominate and make money hand over fist. There is more to than meets the eye at first. Such as: -not only can you buy and sell stocks (in your own company and your competitors), but you can issue new stock in your company, set new dividends guidelines, and pursue a stock takeover of a competitor. -You can engage in espionage against your competitors (once you find the secret room to do so), and also pay for security to repel against such against you(and although the security room is not "Hidden", it's not "Advertised" either!). -You have to experiment with the little objects in the game that you can pick up. If you give certain ones to some of the people that you interact with in the airport, it will lead to other things or events. You'll just have to try and see. :)

A classic for all time, not just for LOTR's fans but for all!
This is a great game! Not turn-based, but played in real-time, each scenario get progressively faster paced as you move along. With three levels - Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced - the game offers a challenge, but is still great fun for both LOTR's enthusiasts and casual admirers alike. The graphics are dated by today's (2014) standard, but not bad. And there are a couple of flaws (One glaring that comes to mind is that while playing Rohan - a horse battalion can somehow jump up onto to top of the wall from inside your fortress, and there it will stay. Can't get it down, can't kill it yourself, it's just stuck! Archers can move freely on top and back down from atop the walls, but not horse battalions!) Anyway, this is a really great game that offers hours and hours of unique game play. One can play as "Good" or "Evil" Campaigns... Or play through dozens of different "Scenarios" as either "Rohan", "Gondor", Mordor", or "Isengard". This leads to the possibilities well over a 100 play-throughs. Not only does the game offer the armies for each of the civilzation's, but coresponding heroes to go with each. From Gandalf, Aragorn, and Legolas...to Nazgul, and the Balrog. Each with their own "Special powers". From unique buildings, to special powers...dedicated heroes, to real life actors voice-overs. Battle for Middle Earth has it all! It will stay a timeless classic. Not just for LOTR's nuts, but for all movie and gamer fans alike. Of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!
