The Outer Limits.... By all means, DO attempt to see this classic series.
This classic series was originally telecast back in the good, old days when TV series that got the go-ahead to run in the first place was given 21 or more weeks to find an audience. DO NOT ATTEMPT..... to do that nowadays, unless you're willing to listen to the most profanity-laced language from advertisers who demand as many viewers watching THEIR shows as possible. The Outer Limits must have found its audience at just the right time and on just the right channel. Some of the actors, including Robert Culp (I Spy), Donald Pleasance (Halloween and it's sequels) David McCallum (Man From UNCLE and NCIS) and Cliff Robertson (PT 109) contributed very memorable guest spots on one of the most thought-provoking and engaging performances on the then small screen. If you enjoy sci-fi TV, If you'd like to see today's actors doing what did best, BEFORE they were famous.... You owe it to yourself and any friends over the age of 15 to watch this series. I say over 15 because it may be too intense for younger minds. Also, some of the makeup used may cause nightmares for them. MZ

Perry Mason.... A defense lawyer for ALL season.
Right from Episode 1, "The Case of the Restless Redhead", you could tell that Raymond Burr's interpretation of the soon-to-be, world renknown defense attorney, Perry Mason, was destined to be the new paradyme for courtroom dramas for generations to come. Matlock, The Defenders, LA Law and Matlock all owe a debt of gratitude to this Paisano Productions/CBS-TV series which ran for some 10 seasons. In Perry Mason, we see someone who be tenacious, highly intelligent and very capable of discerning facts from the numerous "red herrings" that would have stymied another, less capable lawyer. Mr. Mason was equally capable of exhibiting genuine sympathy and compassion to clients and had a deep and abiding understanding and appreciation of human nature, even to people he barely knew. With his stalwart and highly efficient Gal Friday, Della Street (Barbara Hale), and his equally dependable Private Detective, Paul Drake (William Hopper), Mr. Mason would take on cases other lawyers would not touch, and his weekly battles with District Attorney, Hamilton Burger (William Talman) and Police Lieutenant Tragg (Ray Collins), while contentious, never crossed the lines of fair play. Each side knew precisely where the other side stood when it came to solving the crime of the week. I'm very glad that CBS has decided to make this classic TV program available to the general public. With all the trash that has hit the DVD marketplace, Perry Mason is a series very worthy of its place in this multi-media universe.

Derek Flint - U.S. version of James (007) Bond just could not sustain us.
I saw these two movies, many years ago, when Sean Connery, aka my name is Bond, James Bond, was getting busy fighting all those bad guys, especially Ernst Stavro Blofeld of SPECTRE, and seducing every gorgeous blond, brunette and redhead who came within arm's length. Women like Ursula Andress, Honor Blackman and Jill St. John would have and did capture the hearts and lustful imaginations of millions of red-blooded men, the world over. James Coburn proved to be a very good, American version of 007, and for whatever reason 20th Century Fox could not keep the franchise going beyond these 2 movies. They were fun and pure escapism to be sure, but even Mr. Coburn's charm and disarming fighting skills could not overcome the comic-book plot lines and the enemy was just too easily handled and defeated.
