Contemporary English Version Bible is a WOW.
I got a large-print version of the Contemporary English Bible, and it is one of my two favorites. It is easily the best Bible I own. It makes a lot of formerly unclear passages crystal clear, and I recommend it to anyone who has been struggling with other translations. I even prefer it to the NIV, and that takes some saying, because most Protestant churches use the NIV.

This is a darn good printer for the price when someone has packed it well and sent it in timely order.
1 of 1 found this helpful I got two of this model. My first was not packed into a good stout protective box, it was sent in its own box by way of a courier who was "flying low." Its flimsy store display box got slammed and ruptured, and the glass plate under the scanner lid was smashed to Kingdom Come. My second one got sent by a firm that put it inside a very stout cardboard box, with a lot of paper padding. It has worked well from its arrival and I am very happy and well-satisfied.

THIS BOOK IS WRITTEN BY A PRESBYTERIAN, BUT ON A CHARISMATIC THEME
This book is about how to draw closer to God and to breathe life into your church. The main thing to do, it seems, is to bring the heart, the enthusiasm of it, alive, and not to sit there doing too much cerebration. Since the soul is both mind AND HEART mutually engaged, this is how to not only keep the church alive but also how to nourish the soul properly, in my opinion. I am only beginning the book, and wish it had been written in plain English for the lesser-educated. But I'm sure I can decipher it.
