Remarkably satisfaying and containing vast research and knowledge
First fo all, I would like to say that although I have not read it fully as of yet, I have given it a glance or two and it keeps on dazzling me. I was not sure at first, but now I can realize that my vision about Middle Ages was not so far from reality. This period of time that lasted a millenium could not possibly gives us two or three ideas and be completely unfruitful whatsoever. The Middle Ages continue to be, as the Prologue so states it, an unexplored rich and vast period of time that still makes us think about it as a "Dark Time", but in reality, that is due to the lack of information we have about it. I sincerely recommend this book as it is helping me to understand the true reasons that were behind the actions of the "medieval common" and so, it is contributing to turn me into a more open-minded person; one who can look at the Middle Ages and say "we are not so far ahead". Moreover, the book is written in an incredibly plain language that every teen or adult can understand. I most sincerely recommend this book, because as I said, is doing wonders in my psyche, giving me a completely different view of that wonderful period of Mankind, in which "work" and "family" were two words that meant everything to the common man, and not only social acceptance and richness.
